The Loves-Lies-Bleeding, Amaranthus caudatis, has crimson tassels that cascade to the ground from an exotic, showy, bushy plant. Dramatic, tropical, romantic, old-fashioned; they all describe Love-Lies-Bleeding. This plant was popular in colonial American and Victorian English gardens.
