The Ann Magnolia tree, Magnolia x Ann, is a member of the Little Girl series of Magnolias that are the result of a cross originally made at the U.S. National Arboretum. Ann develops a somewhat open habit with deep purple-red, 7-9 inch petaled flowers. Ann Magnolia trees are vigorous and hardy. It forms a shrubby mound and has leathery green foliage.
