The Four Oclock Marvel of Peru, Mirabilis jalapa, has flowers that often open after 4 pm for late day drama. They are lightly fragrant. Four Oclock grows and flowers almost anywhere including hot, windy spots. The 2 inch long, 1 inch wide tubular shaped flowers appear in colors of crimson, red, scarlet, white, pink, and yellow. Water frequently for best results. Plant in the spring after the last average frost date.
