The Daisy Shasta Alaska, Chrysanthemum maximum, is an easy to grow, long blooming, very hardy perennial. The large, single, 3 to 5 inch bright white flowers make for a beautiful addition to any perennial garden.The flowers have a distinct yellow center. The Shasta Alaska has a very long blooming period of 90 to 120 days, early summer to fall. Plant in early spring, 2 to 3 weeks before the average last frost date, or as late as 2 months before the first fall frost.
